Clapper authored a summary for DepSecDef documenting that determination — effectively the official recommendation that denied Reid's June 24 2009 SAP request to Lynn.
After the sighting
Post-retirement public on UAP: 'not sure why' topic was classified, 'I don't know why we haven't been more transparent about it in the past, and I'm part of that climate, I guess.' Discussed Area 51 in 2025 'Age of Disclosure' documentary.
