During the sighting
Nov 14 2004 wingman to Fravor; visual contact 8-10 sec of white oblong object over water disturbance ~140 nm SW of San Diego. Provided independent corroboration of object's existence with documented inter-witness inconsistencies on duration/movement/shape detail.
After the sighting
Year-long Ghazni PRT reconstruction engineer deployment. Naval Science instructor DC consortium. Military Professor USNA Leadership/Ethics/Law ~7 yrs. Retired ~2021 (20-yr career). Adjunct + Scholar in Residence CU Boulder College of Engineering since 2022. Enigma Labs uncompensated advisor. First public appearance 60 Minutes May 16 2021. MUFON 2026 keynote scheduled.
Research notes
Strongest independent corroborator of Fravor's Nimitz account. Verified Navy service + decorated combat vet + current ethics professor + measured posture vs Fravor. Discounted for documented self-inconsistencies, inference/observation conflation, advocacy posture. Inter-witness divergences strengthen rather than weaken independence (she reports what she saw, not parroting Fravor).
