Narrative

Canada's Project Magnet (1950-1954), run by Department of Transport engineer Wilbert B. Smith, was the only foreign government UFO effort that informally concluded UFOs were extraterrestrial. Smith claimed personal contact with extraterrestrials via telepathy and 'tensor beams,' and that in 1952 the USAF lent him a piece of UFO composed of 'magnesium orthosilicate.' The Canadian government closed the project for lack of results.
