Narrative
On 29 September 1956 around sundown (00:30Z), at 4813 S Brookline near Will Rogers Field in Oklahoma City, an airways traffic clerk for Braniff and his father observed a round/oval bright luminous object with tail toward the southwest, ascending. A second sighting of a basketball-sized bright metallic object ascending and fading upward over 50+ minutes was also reported. Capt. Mills (USAF) said it was a weather balloon, citing two corroborating reports.
