Narrative
On 16 August 1956 at 2245Z near Yellow Springs, Ohio (approximately 39 degrees 50 minutes N, 83 degrees 50 minutes W), an observer reported a round reddish-white object at 15-20 degrees above the horizon. The object moved vertically and was observed by ground visual means. The 4602D AISS concluded the sighting was probably of the planet Mars based on follow-up analysis.
